This credential is accepted by Texas Health & Human Services and meets the state's requirements for child care director qualifications.

Important: Check Your Qualifications Before You Register

Please make sure you meet all four requirements and can provide documented proof:

✓ Age: 21 years old or older
✓ Education: High school diploma or college degree (transcripts required)
✓ Experience: At least two years of relevant experience. Review the licensing codes for the position you are pursuing, such as After School Program Director or Child Care Director. A résumé or a letter from a previous employer can serve as documentation.
✓ Certification: Current CPR & First Aid certification. Need CPR? Register for a CPR class here.

Virtual Learning Requirements

To receive credit for the live sessions, please plan for the following:

✓ Log in from a computer with a working camera and audio and a reliable internet connection. Phones are not allowed.
✓ Stay on camera for the entire session, fully engaged and free from distractions. This includes no caregiving duties, no work tasks, and no participating from a vehicle.
✓ Take an active part in discussions, polls, and questions.
✓ Attendance is checked randomly throughout the session.

Late arrivals, early departures, or not meeting these requirements will result in removal from the class with no refund.
