Description: A language-rich classroom is built through intentional interactions that happen all day, every day. This training equips early childhood educators with practical strategies to support children’s language development by reading, talking, and singing throughout daily routines. Participants will learn how to use descriptive language, meaningful conversations, interactive read-alouds, and music to strengthen vocabulary, comprehension, and communication skills during whole group instruction, small groups, mealtimes, transitions, and outdoor play. Through real-world examples and guided practice, educators will gain tools to create engaging, responsive environments where children’s voices are heard and language thrives.
By the end of this course, you will be able to…
- Use descriptive language and intentional narration to model rich vocabulary and clear communication during classroom routines, play, and daily interactions.
