Description: "Raising The Bar" is an engaging training designed to equip early childhood educators with the tools to uphold professionalism and ethical standards in their daily practice. This workshop combines the principles of the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct with practical strategies for enhancing professional image, communication, and workplace practices.

Participants will explore how to:

• Maintain appropriate professional attire that reflects respect for their role and the families they serve.
• Practice clear, respectful, and effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication in the workplace.
• Use electronic devices responsibly, aligning with organizational policies and ethical guidelines.
• Navigate conflicts with co-workers, parents, and administrators while upholding integrity and professionalism.
• Understand and comply with licensing standards, ensuring child safety, confidentiality, and high-quality care.

Through interactive discussions, case studies, and reflection activities, participants will gain the confidence to address ethical dilemmas, foster positive workplace relationships, and set a professional standard for themselves and their peers. By the end of this workshop, educators will leave with practical strategies and a renewed commitment to professionalism in their teaching environments.

Virtual Learning Requirements 

 To attend your virtual class, you must log in from a computer with a working camera and audio, using a reliable internet connection (phones are not allowed). You must remain on camera for the entire session, fully engaged and free from distractions—this includes no caregiving duties, work tasks, or participating from a vehicle. Active participation in discussions, polls, and questions is required. Attendance will be checked randomly. Late arrivals, early departures, or failure to meet these requirements will result in removal from the class with no refund.
