Description: School-age programs should be more than just supervision—they should be engaging, structured, and intentionally designed to keep children active, learning, and excited to participate. Without a clear plan, programs can quickly become chaotic, leading to boredom, behavior challenges, and disengagement.
This training equips early childhood professionals with practical strategies to design engaging, age-appropriate experiences for children ages 5–12. Participants will explore how to plan and implement a variety of activities—including STEM, group games, and creative projects—while building a structured daily schedule that supports both energy and focus. The course also addresses how to prevent common “boredom behaviors” by creating a balanced environment where children feel challenged, involved, and motivated.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to confidently design and implement engaging school-age programming that promotes positive behavior, active participation, and a well-managed learning environment.
By the end of this course, you will be able to…
- Design age-appropriate activities for school-age children (5–12 years) that promote engagement, creativity, and active learning across multiple domains (STEM, social, and creative expression).
