Creating a successful classroom requires more than good intentions—it requires clear systems, strong supervision, intentional teaching, and effective behavior support. This training provides early childhood educators with a step-by-step approach to building safer, more structured, and more responsive learning environments. Participants will learn how to prevent injuries, strengthen supervision practices, plan with purpose, and respond to behavior in ways that support children’s growth and development. This session focuses on real classroom challenges and provides practical strategies educators can implement immediately to create more organized, engaging, and well-managed classrooms.

TOPICS:

• P – Prevent Injuries: Creating Safe Learning Environments: Explore proactive strategies to reduce risks and prevent common injuries in early childhood settings. Participants will learn how to identify hazards, implement safety practices, and create environments that protect children during daily routines and activities. 
• A – Actively Supervise: Seeing, Positioning, and Engaging: Learn what active supervision really looks like in practice. This topic focuses on positioning, scanning, listening, and engaging with children to prevent incidents, support behavior, and maintain a safe and organized classroom environment. 
• T – Teach with Intention: Planning Meaningful Learning Experiences: Discover how to move beyond basic lesson planning to intentional teaching. Participants will learn how to design activities that are purposeful, engaging, and aligned with children’s developmental needs to maximize learning and reduce off-task behavior. 
• H – Handle Behavior Effectively: Responding with Confidence: Gain practical strategies for addressing challenging behaviors in the moment. This topic focuses on guiding children’s behavior through clear expectations, consistent responses, and positive support techniques that build self-control and cooperation.

Virtual Learning Requirements 

 To attend your virtual class, you must log in from a computer with a working camera and audio, using a reliable internet connection (phones are not allowed). You must remain on camera for the entire session, fully engaged and free from distractions—this includes no caregiving duties, work tasks, or participating from a vehicle. Active participation in discussions, polls, and questions is required. Attendance will be checked randomly. Late arrivals, early departures, or failure to meet these requirements will result in removal from the class with no refund.
